Artist Statement

My intent is to capture images that might instill in others - as they do for me as I make them - a sense of calm and tranquility. I hope to create a visual field that momentarily transports you away from hectic daily events and into a place that delights in an intimate view of the world.
I have showcased my work at several regional art festivals in cities such as St. Louis Missouri, Columbus and Cincinnati Ohio, Ann Arbor Michigan, Bloomington and Indianapolis Indiana, and Madison Wisconsin.
The images are printed on coated fine art papers or canvas, producing a photo that should last for many decades. Photos are signed and numbered in limited editions.
From January 2006 to December 2010, I was committee president of the Fourth Street Festival of Arts & Fine Crafts, an art fair over the Labor Day weekend in Bloomington, Indiana.
